As reported by Auto Express, the Tesla Motors will present its long-awaited Tesla Model 3 on March 31st. The new Model 3 will compete with the middle class vehicles. Reportedly, Tesla Model 3 will have a range of more than 200 miles or 320 kilometers with one charge.

On this occasion, Tesla Motors is also preparing a special event that will take place somewhere in Southern California.

As Elon Musk said, they will immediately begin to accept orders, which will require a deposit of one thousand dollars. A day after, on April 1st, reservations will be also possible through the website Tesla.com, which the company managed to acquire only recently.

Tesla Model 3 price closer to the masses

With Model 3 electric vehicles, Tesla Motors would like to approach to a wider audience. There is talk of a price around 40,000 euros in Europe and 35,000 dollars in the USA (before any tax incentives), which itself is not low. However, with this price Tesla Motors will put the price tag bar much lower than it is with Tesla Models S and X. New Tesla Model 3 will now come close to cars, such as the BMW 3-Series, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Audi A4, Jaguar XE or Lexus IS.

Tesla Motors will deliver the first instances of the Model 3 to its customers sometime next year. But by then the Model 3 will not be the only one on the market, as Chevrolet Bolt and its European derivative Opel/Vauxhall Ampera E will be available at a similar price.
