The BMW M5 has moved to an exclusive club 600. That many “horses” are dedicated by the experts of the M division of this German luxury sports car brand. Special version, tagged as “BMW M5 Competition Edition”, also has 700 Nm of torque and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds. The production is limited to 200 units, so exclusivity is somehow guaranteed.

Fastest BMW M5 with 600 HP

One hundred BMW M5 Competition Edition examples will be painted in “carbon black”, and one hundred in “mineral white” color.

BMW’s M division has once again surpassed itself. They offered the strongest serial BMW M5 of all time to all the insatiable enthusiasts. They pulled out 600 “horses” from the 4.4-liter twin turbo V8 heart (instead of 560) by adjusting the operation of turbochargers and some other motor optimization. The maximum torque is increased from 680 to 700 Nm.

It needs only 3.9 seconds to reach a speed of 100 kilometers per hour. At the same time, BMW M5 Competition Edition consumes “only” 9.9 liters of petrol per hundred kilometers and emissions into the air 231 grams of carbon dioxide per kilometer.

The cockpit of BMW M5 Competition Edition, which will undoubtedly become a collector’s treasure, is completely black, with Bang & Olufsen enriched decibels from 1200-watt speakers.

Increased engine power is backed with sports transmission with double-clutch M Logic and Competition Package equipment , which also includes the 10 millimeter lowered chassis with stiffer suspension and more direct steering wheel.

Of course, the change in motor performance is there with a purpose. The essence of the name “Competition Package” is in additional adjustments to the chassis, which are written to the skin of the most demanding drivers. Those who are somehow not satisfied with the driving performance of normal M5.

Only 200 units available!

M5 Competition signs are everywhere, to remind its owner about the exclusivity of the vehicle.

BMW M5 Competition package is limited to exclusive 200 units. One hundred cars in “carbon black”, and hundred in “mineral white” color. Also special are 20-inch wheels, the body is enriched by various accessories. For example, a rear diffuser is made of composite fibers, black kidney grille and side slits with the M5 competition inscription in shiny black color.

The limited special edition is also highlighted inside the cabin, with special numerical inscriptions added. “M5 competition 1/200”, for example. The Bavarian beast spoils its passengers with black Merino leather with contrasting white stitching.

The decision for the limited BMW M5 Competition Edition is probably due to the imminent end of the manufacturing of the F10 M5.

Whoever therefore wants the latest edition of the F10 M5 before the end of production, the limited edition is a smart choice. Lucky owners will pay 129,500 euros. Let us just remind that for 10,000 less you get BMW M5 Competition Package with 25 horsepower less and without some not so very important additions.

Of course, the limited edition is always something special because of the exclusivity. And yet, you can prefer the above mentioned version and invest 10,000 euros in additional equipment. The choice is yours.
